You have the choice of two software versions at True Poker, either the high resolution version (23mb) or the low resolution version (10mb). Regardless of which True Poker software version you choose the game play is the same the only real difference is the graphics quality and we found that the high quality version plays a little slower on our run-of-the mill laptop running a 2GHz processor, 3GB RAM and Windows Vista. The download time for the high resolution version took around 3 minutes using a 2Mbps cable connection and the low resolution version took about 1 minute. True Poker's playing environment itself is quite unique. Most online poker tables are played from an overhead viewpoint but at True Poker you sit at the end of a 3D table with the dealer to your left and the rest of your opponents avatars sat around the rest of the table. The choice of avatars is quite limited you can choose characters such as a cowboy, a knight or even a robot. 'Not too many regular looking poker player style avatars though. You do still have the option to play a 2D top-view version of True Poker's software if you prefer a more traditional feel to your poker playing.

You can deposit funds at True Poker using any of the following options; MoneyBookers, PIC Club (US players welcome), Instadebit (Canada only), NETeller, MyCitadel, Visa, MasterCard, Click2Pay, Personal cheques and bank drafts (10% deposit bonus), UseMyBank (Canada only). So after hours and hours playing at True Poker we have come to some conclusions. You're not going to find massive numbers of players at True Poker but you should always have a good choice of tables. True Poker's unique 3D environment offers a very real playing experience making you feel like you're actually at the casino and if you're not looking to play this way you do get the option to play 2D unlike other 3D sites. Most importantly True Poker has a real community feel, the players all seem to be very friendly as were the True Poker staff when answering our many questions. To be honest we were sending questions just to see how quickly and efficiently they answered and we were very pleasantly surprised.
