



The World Championship of Online Poker is well under way at PokerStars with 8 titles having already been decided. The 'must-play' WCOOP event #11 along with two other events are currently under way with some major faces in world poker falling by the wayside including Joe Hachem who had his Aces cracked by 8,8 in event #11!
On Friday we brought you the news that the World Championship of Online Poker had started at PokerStars with a six-handed No-Limit Texas Holdem tournament which had a $1.25 million prize pool. This starting event was won by ‘ChopSueyyy’ who bagged the $234,421.82 first prize. So far during this year’s WCOOP series there have been 8 tournaments played to a finish with over 24,000 individual online poker players taking part and over $5 million already being given away in prize money with millions more to be won.
The overall prize money leaderboard is currently being headed by ‘ChopSueyyy’ of Finland with their $234,421.82 prize money from the opening event but they are closely followed by MMalipo from France with $183,940.20 and ‘vakAAttack’ from Greece with $183,334.81 winnings so for this WCOOP. Currently the highest placed UK poker player is ‘MUSTAFABET’ who has won $87,785.02.
There are still qualifying satellites to the remaining events being player right now at PokerStars with buy-ins available from as little as $1. So head over to the PokerStars lobby, click the ‘events’ tab then the ‘WCOOP’ tab and there you will find the WCOOP satellites listed.
