



Once again PokerStars, the world’s largest online poker card room is hosting the world’s largest online poker tournament series. The PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker will be held in September with 45 events and a guaranteed $40 million prize pool with qualifying satellites available for as little as a $1 buy-in.
Just over a month ago PokerStars released a tentative schedule for this year’s World Championship of Online Poker with the aim of receiving feedback from the online poker community. The schedule has now been confirmed with this year’s WCOOP hosting three high-roller events which climax with the No-Limit Hold ‘Em Main Event which has a guaranteed $10 million prize pool.
This year PokerStars have launched WCOOP.com which is a site dedicated to the WCOOP with information about the series of poker tournaments including; up-to-the-minute qualification information, detailed statistics, tournament coverage, and video highlights and analysis from last year’s tournaments.
Last year’s PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker drew huge numbers of online poker players from across the world to play in the 33 events which in total gave out $39,958,000 to the lucky winners. Last year’s main event saw ‘ckingusc’ crowned as the WCOOP Main Event winner and they also bagged the $1,265,432 first prize.
