From now until the 30th of June online poker players are being offered the chance to play in the Poker Olympics at VC Poker. The Poker Olympics is a collection of poker events taking place over the next three months with over $375,000 of prizes to be won. There are various leaderboards and tournaments to take part in at VC Poker which make up the Poker Olympics ranging from the Action Point marathon to the 100 metre sprint cash table leaderboard.
There’s a Poker Olympics event for everyone, with events for cash tables, sit ‘n gos, multi-table tournaments and even leaderboards for simply earning Action Points.
Cash games:
For all cash game Poker Olympics events at VC Poker your leaderboard position is simply based on raked hands played, with one raked hand counting as one leaderboard point. There are four leaderboards for each of the following stake levels; micro, low, mid and high meaning that whatever your bankroll management strategy there's an Olympic event for you.
The cash game events include; 10,000 metres, 5,000 metres, 1,500 metres, 800 metres, 400 metres, 200 metres and the coveted 100 metre sprint.
Sit ‘n gos:
There are various formulas used to calculate your sit ‘n go leaderboard position depending on the event, which can all be found on the Poker Olympics page at VC Poker.
The sit ‘n go events include; 1,500 metre freestyle swimming, 400 metre freestyle swimming, 200 metre freestyle swimming, 100 metre freestyle swimming, freestyle wrestling, Greco Roman wrestling and boxing.
Multi-table tournaments:
There are numerous different formulas used to calculate your sit ‘n go leaderboard position depending on the event, which can also all be found on the Poker Olympics page at VC Poker.
The Multi-table tournament events include; decathlon, heptathlon, triathlon, modern pentathlon, high jump, long jump and triple jump.
Action Points:
The Action Point marathon is simply based on the number of Action Points acquired during the event with the winner scooping $1,800 for their victory.
