Pitbull Poker has closed down

Pitbull PokerOvernight it has emerged that Pitbull Poker has closed down and directors of the company have been arrested.  Pitbull Poker has been in the poker news headlines for all of the wrong reason recently with allegations of fraud and cheating, the use of ‘super-accounts’, cash-outs which were never paid and most recently staff that haven’t been paid.

The owners of Pitbull Poker, which has been one of the most talked-about online poker sites of the last 12 months or so, were arrested last night when they attempted to remove computers and office supplies from the doomed company’s offices.  According to one report the night shift staff at the Pitbull Poker offices phoned police in Costa Rica where the company is based and arrests were made.  The Pitbull Poker website is still live but the current player level is ‘zero’ and all of the stats have gone, simply replaced by a Java error screen.  There’s still the option to register from the homepage but the registration form doesn’t work.  So this is finally the end of the road for the ill-fated poker site.
