Deal making is done through an automated process that allows you to choose a pre-determined deal structure and custom payouts. A deal is never finalized unless all players have agreed to it. Deal making is available for most real money, multi-table tournaments held at Party Poker which have a cash-only prize pool. Unfortunately it is not possible to use the deal making facility in a tournament that offers some finishing places a buy-in for another online poker tournament or other non-cash prize.
To establish whether the online poker tournament that you plan to play in at Party Poker features the deal making facility take a look at the individual tournament lobby. If the deal making facility is available it will clearly say 'Final Table Deal Making Possible' in the bulletin board messages. In the enormously uncertain world of online poker, where you can lose your whole stack on a bad beat and crash out of a tournament empty handed, cutting a deal may ensure that you still get paid.
